Salcombe Marine Services was established in 2002. Our mission is to be the centre of marine engineering excellence in the South West and beyond.

Our engineering expertise has earned us a reputation as an outstanding main agent for three premium marine engine manufacturers. Our experience and supply chain resources eunsure that we can get the job done, right first time. We have specialist trained Volvo Penta, Yanmar and Honda Marine technicians able to offer advanced diagnostics, serving and repairs.
Ideally positioned in the idyllic Kingsbridge Estuary, only a stones throw away from Salcombe High Street, our premises is at Lincombe Boatyard. With our fully loaded remote workshops, we are able to offer our engineering services across all of the South West and beyond.

Jake Cronk
Jake is the MD at Salcombe Marine Services and his background is engineering. Jake originally started his engineering career in the marine industry before working as a mechanical design engineer for the Mercedes Formula 1 and Formula E team. Jake now heads the enthusiastic team at Salcombe to pioneer engineering standards in the marine industry in the Southwest and beyond.
Steve Parker
Steve started at Salcombe Marine Services in 2010 as the Parts manager. His marine product knowledge is second to none and his former Navy career bolsters his enthusiasm with all things marine.
Gary Stanley
Gary has served as a marine engineer in Salcombe for approaching 40 years. His wealth of knowledge is unrivalled and what Gary does not know about marine engines is not worth knowing.
George Carter
George is a passionate petrol head and a huge fan of the Honda range. George brings his agricultural experience to the marine industry which makes him an excellent operator of our telehandler for those complex lifting jobs.
Matthew Kershaw
Matthew is an experienced marine engineer with a keen eye for detail. Matthew’s meticulous nature ensures that the job is completed with perfection as the minimum standard.
Callum Berridge
Callum is the newest recruit and joins the team with previous experience handling offshore RIBs. Callum is forging his career in engineering at Salcombe Marine Services alongside his academic training.
